I had a 15 month old salmon faveroles. Today I noticed she was walking like she had a bowling ball between her legs. I picked her up and her abdomen was all bloated. She was also panting. I thought she might be egg bound which I’ve never dealt with before. I googled it and did what it said. I...
I have about a three month old chick that can’t use her legs. I try to stand her up but she falls immediately. She is eating and drinking and alert. At first I thought she may have injured her leg but that’s not the case. What is wrong? Is it a vitamin defientcy?
That’s exactly what it looks like. It doesn’t smell but that’s what it looks like. What can I do for her until I get the medicine? Does it hurt to keep it clean with hydrogen peroxide and neosporin or am I just wasting my time? Should I force feed her if she is not eating?
I just found one of my hens with a big sore on her face going into her mouth. She is drinking but I don’t know if she’s eating. She is thin. I cleaned her up and put neosporin on it. I have her separated from the rest of the flock. Is it fowl pox?
Someone was feeding and watering them. Yes, he is coming out of molt. He can only stand for a few seconds. When he does stand he is very wobbly. I am having to open his mouth and put food down his throat. He is not eating or drinking on his own.
I came home from vacation and found my purple Orpington rooster motionless. He’s abt 5 yrs old. I brought him inside and put him in a crate. I noticed he had very smelly poop. He wouldn’t eat or drink. I started giving him pedialite by syringe. He peeked up just a little. When I noticed he...
I tried some oats and they didn’t like that. They get some treats but not a lot. Maybe less than 10%. Their poop was looking fine until I saw this in one of the pens yesterday. I will post a picture of one of them walking.
They’d haven’t be end well wormed in awhile. I was feeding them scratch and laying pellet feed. I have switched to just laying pellets because they weren’t eating the corn. Now they aren’t eating the pellets. I have abt 18 hens and three roosters.
I have a purple and lavender Orpington. They are in pens next to each other. They both started walking like they were drunk and couldn’t stand. That was abt three months ago. I posted then but nobody knew what was wrong. They are standing now and walking although still a little unstable. They...
