I am a very calm person, however I will not put up with consistent nener nener nener butt behavior from my guy. He knows his place and he knows his job, and he was trying (to get away with slacking off). However, even if he is trying he will not get always home free with acting up. I will get...

I am laughing my head off. Really I am. My gelding is happy as a clam, and was after the ride as well. He got a shower and a rub down. He was acting up, what do you expect me to do pet him and give him cookies for bouncing around like a jack rabbit? I ride calm and soft in my hands and...
I am not asking for your opinion as I honestly dont care. I will do what I want when I want with my horse. This thread was a "Funny" Ha-ha, thread as it was hysterical in the moment. My instructor knows what she is doing, and I listen to her not a random person on a chicken forum. You have no...
I have been working on getting my four year old gelding to take the right lead for about a month now and we are making slow but steady progress. Well today everything went wrong; neither of us could get it together. To control the frustration and to keep from lashing out at my gelding in the...

Same thing here, we got our Black Lab Aspen from a breeder 20 miles away. We paid $250 and she is AKC, she and her remaining littermate were running around the farm living the good life when we purchased her. The breeder had a single male and a single female lab, living the good life...

Ooooooooooooor .. that God thinks it is better that we NOT understand one another .. and love each other anyway ..
Just sayin' ..
Funny joke.
OOOORRRR that "God" is a man and even he can not quite understand the evolution of the female mind.
We buy all our animals from local breeders if at all possible. I cant even walk into the local shelter knowing that A-The people who work there are complete jerks and B- Ever other animal but the one you take home will die. I could never understand how someone could make that choice, so I avoid...
The fact that you posted Merlin on here makes me as happy as a kid in a candy store.
Merlin is my horse god; I would bow to his poop if I had half the chance.
As for riding style I prefer English hunt-seat, though the other endurance riders think I am off my rocker. I have ridden western in...
Have you tried placing a simple misting system in her stall to keep her cool on really hot days? Something on a timer, that will give her well needed relief but not soak her.

No offence intended welsummerchicks but you generalize quite a bit in your post which can lead less knowledgeable equine enthusiast into false pretenses. Just saying In my experiance ponies are trained just as well as horses, but have attitude and flair in abundance.

Have you found that is makes your horses "hot?" I am worried that feeding #200 will make my gelding hot if I dont ride for a day to two due to school and what not.
My gelding is an Anglo-Arabian who is generly calm and cool, and currently fed 6 lbs of sweet feed a day and 4-6 flakes of hay a day. The new barn I am going to has nice hay, but I must supply my own feed. Any other brand suggestions that are easily available in the Bluegrass state?
I had wanted to post 3 paragraphs explaning how exactly you sound wrong, but managed to control the impulse to strike back. I still dont see your point, or agree with many of your ideas but I no longer feel like you ment to sound degrading and rude. I still disagree but I respect that everyone...
