my ducks hatched 7 babies a couple months ago. I can’t figure out who the mama is to these cuties. I only have male pekins. Moms could be blue Swedish, black Swedish , cayuga, buffs, welsh harlequins , or crossed from the first hatchlings last year. Still only one male pekins - these brown... -

i keep waiting for the mama ducks to be nicer to the babies since they were broody for soo long and we’re fighting over them- no mothering instinct at all 🤷🏻♀️ -

My first time ever letting my girls hatch eggs and had a 2/9 success rate. Then of course 2 wasn’t enough so bought 3 more from Metzer. Some duckling pics for your viewing pleasure -

could still live a healthy happy life. My special boy was actually hatched 4 years ago today and is still going. I Just always keep a deep bowl of food for him -

Lol yes they refuse to go to bed right now until it’s almost totally dark out. They run around like little toddlers
