My Roo has scaly mites. I soaked him in Epson salt, but ivemntium a couple drops under each wing and nap of neck and all over legs. Wrapped with gasoline. How offer do I do this? I am afraid to use to much ivemntium on him. He weighs 20lbs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
So it is safe to put on their legs? My rooster is 20lbs so I did its legs after a soaking in Epson salt and put some on back of neck and under wing. Then did vasoline and wrapped the legs. I don't want to over dose with ivmectium and if I should wrap. How often should I use the ivmectium?
Not making any weird neck movements. She is eating and drinking but does not want to be around rest of flock except the chicken tjat has always been by her side. I have given the olive oil and I don't feel food in her crop. It feels like her neck bone or maybe breast bone is dislocated.
I have loss so many of my Americana chickens to the building up of fluid around there stomach and they head up suffocating. I have drained the fluid successfully a few times and extended the birds time. But why is this happening and why with this breed? Is it something I am feeding them...
If you let her out to range I am very close by. My flower can not even jump up at night to roost but seems to feel safe in the bottom of a laying box. I hate that the rooster won't leave her alone for mating but she is managing. I do once a day give her feed with a fresh cracked egg and meal...
I separate my when I feed her and make sure she is getting plenty of food and water. She does not roost as she can't see where to go. She seems to be doing okay, do not let the blind one out ranging unless you are going to watch closely as they will not be able to find their way back to coop.
Wonderful news found Flower my blind hen. The neighbors found her in their window well. Lost for two days, so she received lots of high protein treats, electrolytes and hugs. Tears of joy and snuggles from her.
