How long did you need to keep the foot bandaged for and what was your after surgery regime like?

I'm curious about what the indications were that lead your vet to belive it was cancer and not bumble foot you were dealing with. I ask because I've got a chicken with what I would call a suspicious bumble foot/toe issue right now. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
