OMG! so freakin cute! I love chickens!

Smarty passed away this morning :(...... she is no longer suffering. I have got to become stronger in being able to euthanize these chickens. The part that bothers me most is the suffering. I haven't been able to take life away. Any good reasoning or thoughts on this?

This is smarty the sick chicken. Her butt is a mess. I don't want to cause her too much more stress cleaning it until I can get her feeling better. My video "The sweetest things in life" is Smarty before she was sick. I have her isolated but the other chickens got noisy while photoing her.

Thank you to all for caring and helping with my sick chickens. Being sick is misery for any living thing. I will order this medicine today. And maybe the vet would be willing to help also. I will keep you posted

Chickengirl555 Place the rooster inside the coop every night and close the door. A coop is to be closed up every night to protect them from predators. Eventually from what I have learned the rooster will get use to the ritual going into the coop at night and beat you to it & head in on its own...
