I am new to selling full grown ducks.. so I didn’t know if anyone could help me with an appropriate price for a almost one year old Rouen drake? Thanks a lot for the help!
Unfortunately we have too many Rouen drakes.. they are both friendly(will eat out of your hand) and coop trained to come home at night for safety. We need both gone but if someone can only take one that’s okay too. Located in Southern IL/ Southern IN.. willing to travel a little if needed.
I would feel I was neglecting my duckies if I didn’t do everything possible to make them as happy as can be! Glad to know there are good ducky parents out there too :love
I get attached to any and all of my animals, that is just how I am and I will always be this way. Of course birds get injuries, and I’m sure they generally heal... I was just reaching out to make sure I was doing all that I could possibly do, so thanks
What is this complex b you are speaking of? I have an injured female Rouen duck that might be suffering a pelvic injury or a leg injury due to a drake beating up on her.
I know.. I’m working on it... the injured girl is smaller than the other girls so she was an easy target to the males.. the other three females hold their ground a little better than this little one.. hopefully I can get it all figured out and my little girl gets better. Thank you
What a journey my babes and I have had the past 2 days! I have recently posted a few threads about how to deal with some drakes beating up on one of my girls... an update: I brought her inside today to splash in the tub and get some cuddles (with mealworms of course) and she was all fine but...
Just wondering what to do with my mean Rouen drake... I don’t necessarily want to kill him because of how beautiful he is, so any suggestions on what type of places would take him or find a need for him? Thanks!
Thanks everyone for the advice! I was afraid it was going to come down to making my flock smaller, which really upsets me because the males are oh so pretty! But what needs to be done, must be done. I’m going to think on the subject for a few days, thanks again!
I have 4 Rouen females and 4 Rouen drakes. One of my girls (she’s the smallest) is missing hair all down her neck and she has gashes in the side of her face which are causing her pain. I have witnessed the drakes ganging up on her, while the other 3 females try to get them off her. She stays in...
I’m so excited to be joining such an awesome community! My boyfriend and I have raised 8 beautiful Rouen duckies! I look forward to helping other duck mommy and daddy’s, as well as hearing about their experiences!
