Thank you- you are quite right- I will post pictures. Not frostbite- I'm in Miami. I'm thinking that maybe this gentle giant has a bad heart? Poor circulation? When I chase him to catch him his comb gets rosy red- all of it. THANK YOU
I ordered from Cackle and did not receive notice of shipment! Ok I had a spamblocker on my email- but they did not call either! Luckily the post office called my 2nd number. The chicks were OK. The Wellsummers and the Cream Legbars were a little weak but I gave them electrolytes and boiled egg...
Oh and they sold me powdered tylosin (antibiotic) and said to use it in the water for 3-5 days. Now my big Orpington roo has purple on the edge of his comb. I don't know what to do. Maybe it's wet fowl pox?
Yeah, I think it's fowl pox as well. I'm a newbie and my flock is infected. I took a few to the vet...They say it is very slow moving and the whole flock will probably get it. Keep them as healthy and comfortable as possible. It's super sad...feed them healthy stuff... this is more difficult...
