2 hen combs have black spots and are getting warts?

I had both dry and wet pox go thru my flock - probably still is going thru it. And that’s what I wanted to bring to your attention. Don’t be surprised if others shows sign of the pox - in days or weeks. It moves slowly. Dry pox isn’t a big deal but if you see signs of wet pox - and you’ll need to check them for that - it can be more serious and you may need to take additional action.

Yeah, I think it's fowl pox as well. I'm a newbie and my flock is infected. I took a few to the vet...They say it is very slow moving and the whole flock will probably get it. Keep them as healthy and comfortable as possible. It's super sad...feed them healthy stuff... this is more difficult than I thought it would be...

Welcome to BYC. We can offer advice if you post a new thread and post a couple of pictures. Here is a good article on fowl pox:

Oh and they sold me powdered tylosin (antibiotic) and said to use it in the water for 3-5 days. Now my big Orpington roo has purple on the edge of his comb. I don't know what to do. Maybe it's wet fowl pox?

@MIxrose 2x @Eggcessive on starting your own thread with pictures & your location would really help ... "purple on the edge of his comb" possible frostbite.
Thank you- you are quite right- I will post pictures. Not frostbite- I'm in Miami. I'm thinking that maybe this gentle giant has a bad heart? Poor circulation? When I chase him to catch him his comb gets rosy red- all of it. THANK YOU
