My 9 month old olive egger has developed sores on her comb. First it looked like pecking injuries (confirmed by vet). I have isolated her (cage indoors) and have applied vetericyn and aquaphor twice daily for about a week. The black flakes came off, and now she has warts/nodules. The edges of her comb are also dark in color. She is eating and laying normally, no lethargy. Could this be a secondary pox infection, or just scar tissue? I'm wondering when to re-introduce her to the flock.
