Kalmbach Henhouse Reserve With Mini Pellets

Seems Walmart has a version of henhouse reserve with minipellets. I've only seen it in store but it seems to have 18% protein rather than the 17% regular henhouse reserve has. Anyone else ran into it in the wild?

PS. Not looking for advice, I just brought it as a healthy treat for the girls. Just thought it was weird as I haven't seen it anywhere else, even on walmart's website

That is strange! It's not at Chewy either. The stuff we buy already has mini pellets in it so it's odd it makes it sound like a selling point. If it was offered and was the same price, I'd probably get it for the 1% more protein. It's what we use for a treat too.

Did you double-check the date on the bag? It almost has to be new though as we've been buying HHR for years now and never have seen it.

Otherwise, I suppose it could be a special made product just for Walmart? Our Walmart doesn't carry any Kalmbach's so we've been getting it at Chewy.

It is new as our Walmart didn't have it until recently although I've seen henhouse reserve at a Walmart in another town last year, couldn't tell you if it was the regular 17% henhouse reserve or the one that's 18% as I didn't think to check it as I had no reason to think it was any different than what's on chewy. I wish they did just up the protein on the feed sold everywhere

The price was about 22 bucks for a 30lb bag
