I'm sorry to hear the scabs are getting worse.@Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock my pullet is still eating and drinking, but her scabs have continued to spread. While some are lifting, her comb and wattles are basically entirely covered in the thick scabs and they have spread in a line down the front on her neck as well. Her crop area has a large leathery patch of rough skin with a scab in the center, and the scab area under her vent is still thick and heavy. The scabs are also spreading toward the inside of her vent and above her vent.
She sleeps a lot, but does run around a bit and gets excited for snacks.
She had a full course of two different kinds of antibiotics and I’ve tried iodine, triple antibiotic, silver honey, bannix, and most recently miconizole powder spray in case it’s fungal.
Nothing seems to stop the scabs from spreading over more and more of her! Are there any possible things I am missing that could help?
I have chlorhexidine arriving on Tuesday.
I think you are doing everything you can to try to treat this.
I do appreciate you keeping up posted, I wish I knew more and had answers for you.
