Hopefully this works. I got this week little silkie today. I noticed her head/neck has been tilting. Any ideas ? The first 5 seconds shows what she does and it’s pretty consistent. My other one is fine but while bathing her she literally had no balance. But is fine now.
This weekend I'm picking up 2 silkies. They are 4 months old. The woman who is downsizing her flock is pretty sure she knows 3 of them are def Roos and the others are looking like pullets. I'm getting first pick of a white and black bearded. As I'm new to silkies, what would you look like at...
Thanks! Not that I would mind a cockerel! Love to hear them crow. My neighbor would not 😂 this little girl is my sons and he’s quite attached. She has such a cute personality so he would be upset if we had to get rid of her
Week old barred rock babe! Can’t tell! She’s suppose to be sexed but I’m suspicious 😂 feet are washed and spot on head is who knows. Feathers have been pretty dark 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks for the feed back! Requirements are 20 feet from property line. Our neighbor said he didn’t mind us getting chickens. It would just be about 20ft.
we’re leaning towards 4x6 cause I’m scared of chicken math. 🤷🏻♀️😂
We’re trying to decide a space for our coop. Either going with 4x4 or 4x6 and long run. Looking at about 4-6 chickens. Standards and one Silkie. We just didn’t want to take up the space where my kids would play. But I’m wondering if it’s too close to my garden beds. They would free range when we...
LOL Im aware they will go to town on it. Was thinking of placing a cattle panel over it for growth. Covered run in a must in Massachusetts. While I get more rain than snow as I'm close to the ocean, we definitely get snow.
Another location Im thinking is closer to our woods. Super shady year...
So in deciding where to put my coop in my yard, two of the locations Im thinking of is right next to my raised beds. Is there a problems with this? Im thinking safety/sanitation wise, having the coop and run a few feet from veggies gardens? Obviously if my beds are not protected they will help...
