Week old barred rock babe! Can’t tell! She’s suppose to be sexed but I’m suspicious 😂 feet are washed and spot on head is who knows. Feathers have been pretty dark 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't know if you can see it, but there are two rows! The more developed the better! I'd say about two weeks is the best time to tell!

I understand how you feel! I got two Barred Rock Pullets at 2 days old. I was seriously questioning one because of the huge white spot covering her entire head. She did have gray on her toes, so that was making me think she could be a pullet. Now, six weeks later, she is most definitely a girl. And secretly, kind of my favorite.... She follows me whenever I'm around, sits on my shoulder, and loves her coop swing. From your pics, I would say she's a she!

Thanks! Not that I would mind a cockerel! Love to hear them crow. My neighbor would not 😂 this little girl is my sons and he’s quite attached. She has such a cute personality so he would be upset if we had to get rid of her
