the best breed of a broody hen is a silkie or a Buff orpington (sorry if this is a late reply) also a hen 4-6 months is the best for being broody, size does not matter ( she can be an egg layer or not an egg layer it does not really matter.
yea, im doing an experiment how to hatch out eggs without a broody hen or an incubator
or light so i can help the people that cant afford an incubator !!!!!! ill let you know if anything happens
oh, well most people like to wash their dirty eggs with warm water that will not hert the bloom on the egg its probebly the best but thats my opinion cleaning it with a dry cloth is also okay . Cool !!

the rooster barley does anything, when a hen is broody she will sit on fertile or non fertile eggs a rooster will help make her eggs fertile (non fertile eggs will NOT hatch) what kind of pictures do you want to describe this?
