Twins are here!

1 twin out! The other still inside but alive and I think will be okay with all that room now. They were side by side in egg so I'm glad I did intervene because they were stuck.

1 baby our so far..the other is still alive, can see movement at other end. Hopefully with 1 almost half way out, the other will make it..🤞😳

I am watching as said before..#1's top beak tip to see if it gets pointy or starts to round. It will give me good idea about #2 and how to move further on day 22 and/or 23.

It turned day 21 at 4 pm today. I did as listed/shown above. Both are alive..the one here..#1 can be seen or his beak can..#2 at opposite end but can be seen moving between crack in outer shell. I hope he pips. That is main worry now...him/her pippin to breath.

After breathing is secured. Then I monitor the vien size and redness..pinkish red (superficial) (dark red/thick.. leave ALONE!)...go from there.

I broke outer shell around twin #2 area for the fact if no air cell. When internal pip happens they take first breath..no first breath when needed mean suffocation. Making sure breathing is #1 now i will watch for pip or beak shape...

I did pop air cell and uncover 1 twins beak...why no danger in doing so and I can watch the tip of his top beak for the point. This will give me an idea on the other, unseeable chicks progress..so i know when to get invasive safely when absolutely needed. I do break shell from around the pointy...

Day 10 progress..they are happy, dancing inside shell/sack.

I always candle first but if I can not tell weather the egg is live at day 19 then yes I water test. I would rather know for sure then have a rotten egg explanation in lockdown that could hurt my others. Agree or disagree it is a personal choice. I will do all I can to check an unsure egg before...

Day 15 check was great. Both at opposite ends off egg. A pic would be pointless cause you can see anything in it but Friday is lock down fingures crossed

The one that did nothing...day 5..both were fertilized they looked connected when I opened it.

So far I have gotten 3 double yolkers.. 1 is fertile, 1 did not do anything by day 5, this other i will start this evening.
