    No Shell on the Egg

Mine do this once in a while as well. Old and young chickens do it. I also have laying pellets but offer oyster shells. You can also use their own shells ( bake at 200 for 10 mins, cool and crush) that will help but oyster shells are easier. I wouldn't worry too much about an egg or two. If...

Really? They seem to really like it in that one so I never thought of it. It's about 4 ft by 3 ft. Plus 2 nesting cubicles. They all sleep on top of each other out of choice lol. How big should it be for 3 girls? 2 are medium/large and 1 is quite small

Laying pellets for feed plus greens as a snack sunflower seeds and boiled beef bones are the main ones. Also some fruit here and there. All in moderation of course.

The coop/run is massive for 3 girls. I beleive ita 14 ft by 10 and covered with their little coop inside. They have free roam in it. We had alot of issues last year with the old ones eggs. She quite often would have them on her butt if they had no shell or she would lay with an incomplete...

    Need advice

Thank you I will check her for sure.. she is still her active self. I think it may be that she laid an egg without the shell and then sat on the others causing a munch fest.

    Dream come true.

So a little over a year ago, we had to put my little dog down after 15 years. I was absolutely devastated. I wasn't ready for another dog but I still wanted an animal. Friend of mine suggested that I get chickens, I wasn't really sure about the whole idea but I agreed to it. In my usual...
