    Cockerel or Pullet EE

Both are EEs around 9 wks. The white one is my smallest out of this age group. It's around the size of my 5/6wk age group. He is molting but has one kind of curly tail feather and a bit of rust color coming through the shoulders. I know the rule about pea combs doesnt always apply to EEs but...

I have one that color too. Marigold got a lot more orange but I have one that is almost the exact color of yours. Very cute!

I took the first two pictures around 6 weeks and the bottom pic is her now free ranging the yard at 8 weeks. She has turned a really gorgeous red color.

    Easter Egger Sexing

No, I made the mistake of putting my ducklings in with them one night and the water was knocked over and doo doo everywhere. It was HORRIBLE.

    Eliminating Bad Eggs (quail)

I'm on day 7. This is my first hatch. I've read so many opinions and watched so many videos I feel overloaded. Some say the egg will burst, some say they dont. I'm turning them all by hand several times a day. When I candle them I see no veins at all but I'm seeing embryos. I'm scared none will...

    Easter Egger Sexing

Pretty positive Marigold is a pullet. Oddly enough it looks like all 11 of the straight runs I bought are pullets. They're maybe 9 weeks now and they all look like miniature hens. Lol. They're even broody. Its hilarious

    Easter Egger Sexing

That wasn't possible, their wings were completely stuck together. I did however provide a heat lamp and used a blow dryer. They actually really loved it.

Not sure anyone is willing to answer. The thread has been dead since I posted it. Lol

    Eliminating Bad Eggs (quail)

Quail eggs are notoriously hard to candle (based on what I'm seeing and reading online). I was wondering if and when I should eliminate eggs from my incubator that are completely clear?

    Suspect EE Roos

Sorry in advance about the black chick pics. I have 5 of them and taking pictures of each I got them confused. Your best guess is as good as mine. These chicks are 6 or 7 week old EEs. I was told EE roos wont be a solid color so I'm wondering if any of these look like a roo. At first I thought...

    Hatching Assorted Coturnix Quail Eggs

The eggs won't be here for another week and my items to build the incubator will be here tomorrow. I know the basics for incubating quail, I suppose I was just wondering once they hatch if there was anything special I could do for them. Any extra steps I suppose.
