Guinea hen will not stand up

Okay I have looked her over and near her anal gland is like a big ball and it feels like it's full of fluid. I don't know if this is where the egg sack is at or if there is a tumor. I did put peroxide on the whole area and I get no foaming so it doesn't look like it's a wound. I have never seen...

Guinea hen will not stand up

My adult guinea hen has been laying down this is the third day. She was laying outside the coop and I thought she was laying on an egg for 2 days but I picked her up last night which is highly unusual as they don't usually let you pick them up. I brought her inside the coop and isolated her and...

Review by 'a320727' in article 'Chicken Coop Ventilation - Go Out There And Cut More Holes In Your Coop!'

Excellent info. We tarp during winter but have adequate ventilation still. Never any chickens sick and they lay yr around. We also clean the coop (not my husband's liking) daily. Not an intense clean but you can't see poop when we're done. Also use pine shavings and we have no dampness or...

    Sour crop?

Thanks. She is off the roost this morning and drinking water. I made her some scrambled soft eggs with coconut oil and yogurt on the side. Will see if she eats it! I sure don't want her having the Coccidiosis! My other chicks would be sick i think and they're not. Thanks Wyorp for responding. 🙂

    Sour crop?

You wanted picture of stool. I got her to drink eater, peck around the coop for a minute. Then hrs later I massaged again and she threw up water like liquid. She did this yesterday as well. Then she went back to roost. I have coconut oil freezing and if not better tomorrow will try.

Bedding for coop (Ducks and Chickens)

When you say shavings what are you referring to pine shavings? I have been told using rice straw is really bad for mites so now I'm really confused. I have ducks, chickens, and guineas so not sure what to use. I clean rice straw daily but I know it doesn't absorb moisture. I have baby chicks...
