Would it be better if I separated them if I didn’t want them to breed? I’d have to keep them together for a little while, but I’ve found a guinea pig cage with a divider with a door it it so I can open it when I want them to interact or breed and close it when I don’t.
Hi, so, my mom got some coturnix quail for us to eat the males and breed to rest for more meat and I got to keep a mean one as a pet. Her name is Irene, and we also have an anomaly Texas A&M male named Shane. I know mean quail aren’t good breeding stock, but do you think I could use them as the...
We got some Coturnix quail and one of the was an A&M quail. We can’t breed him/her with our other quail. If I kept that one in my room would it get lonely? Or should I keep them with my other quail somehow?

I know they are a similar size to pigeons. Will they fit in pidgeon pants by chance. They function as diapers. I also might be able to get some tiny chicken diapers.
Hi, we are incubating some quail and I was wondering if it is possible to keep one or two of them inside. The difficult part would be that we have one dog and one cat also living the house. I've read that dogs leave the adults alone, but what about when their chicks and pullets? Also, the cat...
We take one of the little critter container things and put a generous amount of oatmeal oats in the bottom and put the food on top. You won’t have babies until the worms turn into beetles tho.
We have two roosters. One was a runt and is almost the same size as the bigger one now. They’re about nine to ten weeks: I would keep an eye on the other chicks and make sure they don’t pick on her/him.
Hey y’all! Hope I’m not too late for introductions. My name is Tristan and I live in Tennessee. We currently have a mixed flock but we are doing mostly silver dorkings now. I have chick that follows me like a dog. Her name is Grace Coda [last name]. I guess that’s it for now. I love this cafe...
