    EE cockerel or Pullet

I have a few other cockerels that are the same age and no crowing yet. I also have a BCM that is 6 months and no crow. However I did see him successfully mate this morning. So at least that part is working lol

    EE cockerel or Pullet

This one has been difficult from the start. I feel like it’ll be one of those, wait for it to crow or lay an egg.

    EE cockerel or Pullet

Definitely a unique comb! Kinda reminds me of horns lol

    EE cockerel or Pullet

This here is Sparkles and is my daughters favorite chicken. I can see what could be saddle feathers but I read that EE can have more pointy feathers and still be a pullet. 17 weeks old. **water was cleaned after the photo. We change it every morning because they are dirty pigs.

5 week old chicks. I will need to rehome the cockerels but I need help deciding which are staying and going ☺️ I included a few photos of the last chick as I need it to be a pullet for my daughter lol she won’t give it up without a fight! Appreciate the help!

    Gender guess for my chicks

Most are supposed to be EE but probably barnyard mixes. I’m going to give them another week or so to sort out and then I’ll rehome all but 1 cockerel ( or all cockerels). My daughter is super attached to number 8. We currently have 1 rooster, 6 hens, 2 pullets that are approximately 11 weeks and...

    Gender guess for my chicks

I'm doomed 😂 my kids are going to be so mad. There’s no chance we can keep 9 roosters.

    Gender guess for my chicks

4 weeks old and I’m sure that more than half are cockerels 🤪

Photos from week 2 and week 4

That's what I was thinking! I have 10 more I need to post later. I'm thinking half of my chicks are roos lol Thank you ☺️

    New Hen, any insight?

Picked up this new hen today. Was told she lays blue tinted eggs. Her legs a pale white (think pearl). Tried to get a few pictures but she is very skittish.

    Lethargic, not eating

Thank you. I am actually on my way to pick that up now. I will also inspect for lice or mites. Finger crossed she gets better. I hate that she isn’t eating.

    Lethargic, not eating

We just got back into chickens and I picked up 3 “older pullets” that haven’t started laying yet. I noticed yesterday that one hen was very lethargic, not eating and was breathing with her mouth open. I immediately thought she was too hot (South FL) so misted her with some water and put her back...

    Very short beak

That’s a good idea. I will give that a try. Thank you!

    Very short beak

I have 3 others as well. I will look into the fermented feed. The other black one doesn’t seem to have any issues with eating so far. Just that one :(

    Very short beak

I was given 3 hens and 2 have had their beaks cut or possibly an genetic issue. I am unsure. However, my one girls beak is VERY short and I’ve noticed when I give treats she can’t eat them. It’s like she can’t grasp or pick up very well. Obviously she can eat her feed because she has survived...
