    I have 2 austrolorps and their eyeballs are straight black. My 2 sex links look similar, but have red and black eyes , like yours. The sex links also have the red feathers under black on their neck, like yours.

    One last thing, I see some variation in the doors for your coop design. If I were building , I would opt for a larger door. Almost the entire front of my coop opens, and it has been really handy for cleaning and other tasks.

    Here are my nesting boxes, the floor is set on an angle (14 degrees) so the eggs roll into a separate area for easy collection.     Thanks, my EE quit laying righr around winter solstice, Im sure she will get going again. Im in NW where days are very short now. I feel lucky some of my other birds are still laying regularly. This is the first winter for all my birds.

    Thanks, and yes, of course they would make a liar out of me....Chicken drama😜! I had one roost lengthwise in the coop that is 54 inches. I added the “T” part that is about 30 inches. I originally planned on 6 birds in this coop, but here we are. Maybe a bit tight for 7.
