Where to get sand for coop - central North Carolina

I can't find it either, I'm in the Raleigh area. It's so frustrating and no one knows what I'm talking about. I know it should be washed , natural, not crushed quartz or granite. With multiple sized particles. Help!

    Integrate 2 different flocks

Thank you all. I am expanding the area, and was thinking of adding another coop adjoining the other coop and outside run. So they will share the 15 x 15 run separated with chicken wire. They can then see each other and hopefully in the future the fence can come down. I just worry how the roos...

-29F Cold Weather concerns - frozen clump of poo on hen's butt

My 1 yo chicken had such a large frozen poop on her butt, I had to do something. She looked uncomfortable. I kept cutting around it, and it was very close to the skin. So most of the feathers had to be cut as the frozen poop was stuck to them. Now there is a large almost bald looking area below...

As usual nightly. I sit and enjoy them from 730-830 while I let them free range. Put them in the coop and go inside. Because of the 2 Roos, I went to check on them and all were up in the coop except one Roo,and the other Roo was inside looking out and blocking the door. So I picked up the Roo...
