Had coyote come through and took out seven chickens in 24 hours, with 1 Buckeye hen survived. We are going to get new chicks but my question is, would it be possible to see if she will integrate herself in with them a mothering nature? I would like to start orienting them as chics and The Coop...
Rooster 8 months old, run and coop cleaned daily for poop, they free range. Have not looked for lice and mites because I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for.
Our booted bantam is limping and upon inspection the only thing noticable on his foot and leg in a small crack on a toe and where the feathers enter the foot is pink/red and looks inflamed. We cleaned his foot and wrapped coban around and locked him in the coop (which he is s not happy about)...
