Evening, our 3 miniature silver Appleyards are due to hatch today, there are no cracks yet. I can just about candle them through the incubator and can see movement around the edge of the air sack and in one we think we can see a beak. Is hatch day when they are meant to pip or actually be out... -

Thank you, I did some reading last night and we’ve moved the eggs around. We’ve two batches at different stages. One set we’ve sat completely up on their point, they are only on day 2 (not candled yet but just in case) and the other 3 in the pictures I’ve tilted them and everything is crossed 🤞🏼 -
What are the coolest breeds of ducks that I can have?
We are hatching miniature silver appleyards, they look really cute, are easy to sex with the different colours and are meant to be okay layers -

Thank you, I will reduce the humidity. We originally took day one as the day we put them in but then we’ve changed it after reading up and adjusted the settings on the incubator. -

They did yes, I’ve just been madly trying to read up on them and people seem to agree that it’s posting them that can cause them to saddle/detach I’ve got two hatches in the go, the 6 that are only on day 2 we’ve sat upright in their incubator to help to try and correct them and the other 3 in... -

Hi, we’ve candled again tonight as I’m getting worried about them. I’m so happy to say we saw movement in all 3 eggs but I’m worried about the air sacks. I’m sorry to keep asking but is there anything I need to change?? They are 37.5 temp 55% humidity and are automatically turned in a Brinsea... -

Hi, we’ve candled our 3 remaining eggs and they have become quite hard to take photos of, there were plenty veins, some movement but not sure if with us moving the eggs and what seemed like ‘bodies’ but then I’m confused by the air pockets, they arn’t all at the pointy end! Opinions welcome... -
