70 degrees fahrenheit at night do I need a heat lamp?

I might be getting 6 ducklings soon and I was wondering if 70-75 degrees fahrenheit is too cold for them at night. It would be at least 90 during the day so would they be fine at night? Would they just huddle together? Should I add a 60 watt heat lamp for at night?

Should I put a heat lamp?

In an outdoor brooder. I have a 250 watt heat lamp but I don't know if that is too strong for them. I've brooded chicks before, but i've done in a rubbermaid container. I have never done it in a outdoor brooder.

Should I put a heat lamp?

So I might be getting chicks soon and I live in Texas and right now it is 90 degrees fahrenheit during the day and about 60-70 degrees fahrenheit. Would they need a heat lamp since it's already hot out. And since it's even warmer inside the house then outside? I'm getting around 10 buff...

    Coolest Bantam

Its a silkie. Silkies are very hard to sex. Some say that you won’t know the sex until they crow or lay an egg.

How long after Pipping do eggs hatch?!!! Day 21 Broody Hen

@nchls school I came to a conclusion that both eggs were dead and I wanted to see when they died. So I opened both eggs and they were both fully developed. One was still curled up but the other was in hatching position. But they smelt really bad. Do you know why they would die before hatching?

How long after Pipping do eggs hatch?!!! Day 21 Broody Hen

Thanks, I have Mama Hen and chicks separated in a Broody Coop. She took them out this morning to eat and drink. The other 2 eggs, one had a really big air cell but had a fuzzy faded line. The other one was completely dark. Yesterday I could see the air cell but now that egg is completely dark.
