Trying to get some Mystic Onyx chicks

I just got some at Bomgaars (But I see they don't have locations in PA).

    Thai game bird?

That is helpful, thank you. Any idea on perhaps an age? Mostly fully feathered, but not completely on the underside.

As the title asks, is this a Thai game chicken?

    Pekin female - dislocated hip?

Could it be a pulled muscle? What I believe happened is that our drake jumped up on top, and with that weight she may have done some sort of splits. I've since corrected this on the deck, which was meant to be temporary, but we've received a little too much snow for how the set up was. When...

    Pekin female - dislocated hip?

I will try and get a better photo, but it's hard to show what it looks like in a photo. I would say the bump is in line/correlation to her leg bone. When comparing it to her other side, it's noticeable and in my opinion, would align with her hip area. The bump would seem to be the top of her...

    Pekin female - dislocated hip?

That was for the avian/poultry vet. I haven’t called other places, but I know it can be challenging to find places that see birds.

    Pekin female - dislocated hip?

Might be possible, but last time I called them they had a wait of a week+.

    Pekin female - dislocated hip?

It feels a little swollen and warm to the touch, but not necessarily tender. I’m able to touch the area without her flinching. She can get up and stand, and walk a little bit, but usually hasn’t done much walking as of yet.

    Pekin female - dislocated hip?

Hello All - At the top of Pebbles leg (6 month old Pekin), at what I would call her hip - there appears to be a bump, which becomes more apparent when she’s sitting. Unfortunately I believe it may have happened due to our drake when they were on the porch for a moment due to a snow storm...

    Jersey Giant...?

From what I’ve read, this yellow/orange is associated with JG’s, but wanted to get everyone’s thoughts. Black Jersey Giant or Black Australorp?

Moving to a new coop - Tips & Recommendations

They will continue to free range as they have. They're going from a smaller house that is currently next to the new one. I'm looking at what I can do with it in the interim, but until I possibly figure it out or put a tarp on it, it's rather close. It does have a door, which I was thinking of...

Moving to a new coop - Tips & Recommendations

As the title states, I am moving 10 chickens from their existing coop to a new one. I've read online a handful of times about locking them in the new coop for three or more days, but that seems excessive. Any tips and/or recommendations about moving a flock to a new coop?

    Fermenting Feed

There were concerns of MG, so I treated one batch with Tylosin/Amoxicillin, but that batch fermented. I don't plan on adding any antibiotics in the future unless they seem to be in need. I've done a few more batches and so far the only one that didn't bubble is where I used the powdered...

    Fermenting Feed

I recently started to ferment my chickens & ducks scratch (corn, barley, oats, etc.) and was curious if anyone has had any luck with adding vitamins/electrolytes/antibiotics/etc. into their fermented feed? I recently tried adding some powder vitamin/electrolyte mix and it seems to have caused...
