All I do all day is watch them and take pictures! I can’t get over them. I love them so much.

    My ducklings eye! Pics included.

I did it a few times today. I do see the duckling open its eye up, but only briefly, and not at all the way. It’s like he refuses to use that eye. I’ll continue with the warm Compress tomorrow. Ducklings are so wiggly sometimes!

    My ducklings eye! Pics included.

I removed some ducklings previously from the incubator as they were touching the heating element in the incubator and it was freaking me out. Maybe I didn’t remove this one in time? I have the styrofoam farm innovator incubator. And no I haven’t. Just get a warm paper towel and dab it for a few...

    My ducklings eye! Pics included.

This duckling was just born last night. Today, I noticed that it only had one eye open. The other seems to be sealed shut and under it, there seems to be a small lump. It’s hard to see in pictures but I do hope it helps somewhat. What can I do? Did it get burned by the heating element in the...

    Rouen eggs pip!

Thank you so much! And yes, it definitely is. Especially knowing they were alive just a couple of days though and actually see them pip. Thank you for all your help! If I have any questions, I’ll definitely reach out!

    Rouen eggs pip!

One piped a few days ago and one never did. I just candled them and see no movement and they look kinda funky inside now. They didn’t make it. Makes me super sad, especially the one that pipped and was alive just a few days ago. I wonder what happened. I ended up with 6 ducks out of the 8 eggs I...

    Rouen eggs pip!

Another one hatched this morning. I have six! The remaining two don’t look too good. They’re getting dark and I haven’t seen any progression in pips for a while.

    Rouen eggs pip!

Awesome, thank you. I put in the order for the grit so I can just have it on hand.

    Rouen eggs pip!

Question about the chicken grit. Do I put that in a separate bowl or mix it in with their food? I’m going to start giving them “snacks” later and I know they need grit to digest it.

    Rouen eggs pip!

Another one just hatched! Up to four, now. Letting it dry in the incubator until it gets fluffy or until it attempts to burn itself, lol.

    Rouen eggs pip!

Right? They’re so beautiful! Still making new cracks and I keep hearing chirping. Maybe tomorrow or Friday? There is one egg that I can’t see any pips on, but again, it could be at the bottom. All the others are still progressing with more cracks every time I see them. Hoping they all survive.
