Rouen eggs pip!

Six! That's great! šŸ˜

The remaining two... how long have they been inactive? Did they externally pip? How long ago? At a certain point, you may want to candle them to look for movement.

One piped a few days ago and one never did. I just candled them and see no movement and they look kinda funky inside now. They didnā€™t make it. Makes me super sad, especially the one that pipped and was alive just a few days ago. I wonder what happened. I ended up with 6 ducks out of the 8 eggs I had left.

That happens, sadly. It's always hard to lose them. Six hatchers is great though! Congratulations!

Thank you so much! And yes, it definitely is. Especially knowing they were alive just a couple of days though and actually see them pip.
Thank you for all your help! If I have any questions, Iā€™ll definitely reach out!

All I do all day is watch them and take pictures! I canā€™t get over them. I love them so much.

They are adorable! Even grown up, I love watching my sweet ducks. Here are some of my babies.

My weekend hatcher snuggling her chicken friend. Chicken friend loves her soft belly.

Here are some of my "teens" enjoying the grass.

They're messy, but I think they're worth it. šŸ„° Enjoy your beautiful new flock!

Theyā€™re all so beautiful! What type of ducks are they?

Absolutely gorgeous! How old were your ducks once you removed them from the brooder permanently?
Thanks :) I adore them!

I brood them in my duck house actually. I fortunately have enough space to divide the duck house and run for them to have their own space so they grow up observing the older ducks being ducks. I keep them in the brooder area of the house for the first 2 weeks and then add the separate run access for them.

Do you have older ducks to integrate them into? If not, the process is much simpler. :)

I have their brooder in my screened patio right now. And no I donā€™t! These are my first ducks.
