I'd let the rooster kill it then call the conservation department. It's not against the law for the rooster to kill the hawk after all. What are they going to do, put him in jail. :)

I know this is an old post, however this has just started happening to me with my Brinsea Ecoglow 20's. I have two and had inadvertently swapped the power supply cords around. It shouldn't make a difference unless the newer unit has a slightly different power requirement. But problem solved.
