Morning! Cracked this egg and this mass was in it…about 1/2” from a 4yo Black Copper Marans with normal shell and no change in behavior-still feisty and active. It is hard.
Any thoughts?
Ooo great! This is my first rooster and he will have 30 hens to himself 😍 I hope to order more later for gene diversity, as well. Thanks for the encouragement and help!
I need help ID-ing which are Bielefelder females and which are Cream Legbar females. I have 2 of each from MyPet Chicken…I need to ID quickly so I can introduce my Biel female to her adoptive mama! The 2 I think are Biel are fuzzier and larger than the 2 I think are CLs…I couldn’t get the other...
@FarmSunnyside Thanks so much for your reply!! I’m almost 100% sure our chicks are related haha! Mine looks SO similar! Since Changa is a pullet, I’m thinking mine is, too! Thanks again! Enjoy them!
Mine were 3wks on Monday and I’m letting them spend the night (with the brooder plate and some nice holiday Christmas lights haha) in their coop for the first time tonight. They’ve been in the 70-75 degree house and rarely use the plate, so I figure the 66° tonight will be ok. Not sure what...
Thank you! I have two that are 3wks old and have some dark...but they’re hatchery chicks, so I’ve been looking for good grow-out pics. Yours are so gorgeous! Are they friendly? Mine are skittish and scream when I try to hold them 🤣 I call them “fussy” haha!
I’m no help with gender (new!), but wanted to ask if you has a pic of her as a chick? I have a 2-wk-old olive Egger from MyPetChicken and she has this same coloring (I love it!)...curious if she’ll look like yours 🤞🏻

@karabeth05 Hi! I think I saw where you had posted this question, too....? Not many answers, even on the web (lots of returns for “chick hot weather” 🤣). All I can find is “don’t coop train over 70 degrees”, but no further instruction! So glad igorsmistress replied and I know someone has done it...
I’m in Arkansas (heat indexes are already in triple digits) and am wondering this, too...my chicks are 1.5 weeks old right now, but I’m thinking of moving them next week. Maybe a fan in the coop and letting them out during the day in the run for your babies, @bridghen ? What did you decide...
I have read about and am reading your wonderful thoughts about this breed, which is why I got them 💗 I have two 1-week-old SF from MyPetChicken and have a question about temperament...my two scream bloody murder any time I pick them up 😜 (I’ve always been very gentle), but are willing to stand...
