    Feeding a scissor beak

I read in another post that someone was giving their scissors beak chicken baby food mixed with some chick crumble and it was working. Baby food has about the same consistency as yogurt so, I think it might work. I don't think yogurt would hurt sometimes though.

    Scissor beak success stories?

That is amazing! I'm so happy for Amara! I'm going to pray for my little two-week old chick that is showing signs of it too.

anyone know if this is a good incubator?

Ack! I'm sorry! I gave you the incorrect address. There are not two "b"s in the name, Kebonnixs but, there are two "x"s! Here is the correct address: [email protected]

anyone know if this is a good incubator?

Yes, I couldn't figure out from the instruction manual where the "vents" were. When I got to Day 18-19 for "lockdown" the instruction manual said to open the vents all the way. They emailed me back within 24 hours and gave me a better description. I got a 70% hatch rate out of my incubators...

anyone know if this is a good incubator?

There is no website listed on the packaging or in the instruction manual I have but, they do provide this email address: [email protected] I did email them and they responded promptly. (this email was edited because I originally provided the incorrect email address)

I wasn't sure if you were asking me? I was the last to comment on this post. But, anyway, I ended up taking my chicken to the vet and he said it was a bacterial infection. He did remove them but she died the next day. :(

    When to give up?

Thanks! I left 6 eggs in the incubator that I thought could still be viable. Today would be Day 24. I'm an astrologer and the Moon is about to move into the next sign (from Aquarius into Pisces). I've seen for many things when the moon changes signs, sometimes there is a movement in a...

    When to give up?

I put 24 eggs into two incubators on Friday September 4th. Hatch Day was supposed to be Friday, September 25th; however, they started coming around 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 24th. Nine of them hatched before midnight on Thursday. Five more came yesterday (Friday) and two more were born...

HELP! URGENT: Day 19 w/low humidity - KEBONNIXS

I waited and I'm pretty sure at this point its not going to make it. It's been more than 24 hours and I don't see it's little beak moving anymore. :( Hatch Day was technically Friday but the majority (9) came on Thursday. The rest came yesterday and one came this morning. I have 16 total...

HELP! URGENT: Day 19 w/low humidity - KEBONNIXS

thank you! I'm dying from the cute! So far, 12 of the 24 have hatched. Three more are pipping now. I believe one isn't going to make it. IT started pipping yesterday morning and it looks like it stopped. But, the ones who have made it out seem super strong and healthy!

anyone know if this is a good incubator?

Thank you! The air cells seemed right on target when I candled them just before lockdown. Someone suggested using a damp sponge inside the incubator to increase humidity and that did the trick for me! I also found the vents (emailed the manufacturer). And now I have eight eggs pipping! The...

HELP! URGENT: Day 19 w/low humidity - KEBONNIXS

thank you so much! I found the vent and opened it all the way on both of them. I did exactly as you described with the water but it still wasn't going up but, Ron's suggestion to use a piece of damp sponge did the trick!

HELP! URGENT: Day 19 w/low humidity - KEBONNIXS

Hi all! This is my first time hatching eggs. So far the two Kebonnix incubators I bought seem to be working great. Yesterday I started lockdown and took out the egg turning unit and trying to increase humidity. The highest I seem to be able to get it up to is 64% but, it hovers closer to...

anyone know if this is a good incubator?

I have two Kebonnixs incubators running right now. I'm on day 19.5-20 and I was having trouble getting the humidity past 60%. I put a large laundry basket with lots of holes over it and some towels over that, leaving some holes exposed. With this method, I was able to get my humidity to 64%...

I have a 16-week-old chicken who may have wet pox. I thought it might be canker and I have been treating her with metronidozale (250 mg/day). The first thing I noticed was the swelling between her right eye and beak. This was last Thursday. I googled and saw photos of Coryza and was...
