New chicken mom here. I have 7 chickens ranging 3-4 months old, and I'm pretty sure 4 out of the 7 are roos! They've all been raised together, and have established a pecking order amongst themselves. Is there any way they can continue to coexist or will things get ugly once sexual maturity hits?
Can anyone help me determine the breed these 2 feather-babies might be? I was told they were silkie/sizzles when I bought them, but I'm not so sure that's accurate...
So my gut is telling me these are both cockrels, but I wanted to verify. They are both super inquisitive, which again screams roo, but what made me question is they're the same age (7 weeks) but one has a comb much larger than the other. Any help would be appreciated!

I just recently converted a large, open stall in our barn into a chicken coop. I put chicken wire from top to bottom and netting over the top which is about 7 feet high. Needless to say, 2 rat snakes got in and took out half of my flock. I realize the wire mesh netting is an ideal option, but...
I did a google search for that exact topic and I got a huge list of different plants that have an odor that deters snakes. Plants like lemongrass, rosemary and peppermint are some I believe.
