I'm still hoping for a male too. His neck feathers are turning blue when the light hits it just right you can see it. But besides that not a lot of change besides getting longer.
Thanks for your guess on my new peafowl. I guess only a littlw more time will really tell what it is. Im still gonna wait to name it just incase it really is a female.
Also when I bought this peafowl I was able to see the parents of it. India blue dad for sure and the couple of hens that were in the run both had green necks.
I just got this guy on Saturday. Was told it is a male 4-5 months old India Blue peacock. I posted some pictures to a group and some people said it was a hen. Now I'm wondering but either way would be happy for a hen too. What do you think?
Well I don't exactly know what happened to my poor guy but he passed away last night. My other 2 peafowl chicks still seem to be doing ok. I do appreciate all of the advice that everyone has given to me. Im deeply saddened by his passing away. Im just hoping that I did all that I could for him.
My peacock just started acting different today. I just moved him and the other 2 peachicks out into a small closed up chicken coop with other small chicks. Now today I noticed my oldest peacock all fluffed up and not eating. Help what can I do for him.
I just moved him back inside of my garage...
Ok guys here are a couple more pictures of the 2 smaller peachicks that I have. They maybe to young to tell what they are but if any guesses let me know! PS they are not the easiest to handle 🤣
Hmmmm I was hoping for at least 1 hen, I guess only time will tell. But if not will all males be able to get along., Im a first time peafowl owner here.
