meet ka-bluey.
not sure of the breed. could she be Americauna ?
grey / blue color. even it's legs. love this chicken.
acts all tuff. but looks like a hen.
any sex/breed ideas ?
2 siblings. almost 7 weeks.
first one is no doubt a roo. almost twice as big. crowed at 4 weeks. pronounced albeit weird comb of the deathlayer all red and log waddle
the other shots are of its sibling. hatched together. they have another sister who we are 90% sure is a hen. no...
we got this rascal with a few others that hatched around march 26 or 27 but she was supposedly about 10 days older than the rest. i think 'she' is almost 6 weeks
any guesses?
she is big. but different breeds will grow at their own pace i think. buff cochin for example are pretty huge. our rooster was a giant. and clumsy as all get out
one of our bantams went broody. so we gave her a few eggs to sit on. few days later we had a tragedy where a dog killed the bulk of our flock.. but the mama hen was safe in a box in the garage.
the first chick hatched while we were away .. 2 others hatched but didn't make it. one...

we have 2 iso browns that have been laying machines since 4 months.
2 bantams that didn't start till 6 months. but also give us almost an egg a day each. surprised.
2 black australorps and 2 black jersey giants have not started yet and we are at about 6 months.
this weird long cream...
yes she seems fine otherwise. it's still half attached and she seems to be a little annoyed by it flopping around. otherwise it doesn't seem infected or anything.
i dropped something in my covered run and everybody freaked tf out!
this girl got hurt , seems her crest got torn. what can i do !? seems to be okish. was bleeding but seems to have stopped.
yes they did look like chipmunks. great news. was starting to wonder since they are getting so big so fast and aggressively eat. i was figuring the jersey giants would be bigger.. maybe just more easy going ?
i know it's a little early. these birds are only 6 weeks or so.
out of the 6 i got in this batch , 2 are supposed to be black ausys , 2 jersey gaints, and 2 isa browns.
these isa browns eat the most and have grown faster and starting to grow their combs , though they not that big or red at...
