HA HA adorable.
Seriously is there anything cuter than tortoises and box turtles eating? I love how they sort of eye the food, open their mouths as big as they go, and then NOM!
They always look so happy eating.
One time I was riding western and my horse tripped on a dirt clod and then bucked, and I landed RIGHT on the horn. It hurt soooo bad.
I can't imagine if I'd been a guy. Ha ha. I do personally know one guy who WAS seriously and permanently injured when he fell on the horn.
I started out...
Raccoons are definitely a threat to full grown geese. They're incredibly tenacious, and they're good at surprising birds while they're sleeping. And though you don't think you have a raccoon "problem", I'd be surprised if there weren't raccoons in your area. They're pretty much everywhere...
I saw the first pictures and thought to myself, "Oh, that looks like Southern Oregon!" and then I looked at your user info. XD
Nice, it's a great setup! I bet your ducks are so happy.

You'd be surprised what "wildlife" shows up when you own prey animals. I would be very surprised if there weren't raccoons or hawks or something else in your neighborhood.
Africans do have an impressive bill even as babies. You might want to browse the goose subforum and look at pics.
ChickenZoo, wow your cygnets are soooo cute.
I run the Gryphon Art Exchange on LiveJournal -- everyone submits their gryphon character, and are anonymously matched up to another artist, secret santa style, with a month to draw that person's character. It's great fun! It's been such awesome practice for me. Those two gryphs I posted...
I really only know geese, etc. from bird watching (so wild species primarily) and the pictures are pretty small for me, so I really can't say. But to me it does look like a Canada gosling -- or it could be some domestic breed I'm not at all familiar with so take my guess with a grain of salt...
I adopted these hatchery girls when they didn't know what to do with them after a school experiment. They were said to be hatchery RIRs. Crummy, very old photo. XD Which do they look like to you guys?
