Not sure what’s happening. We have bathed her bum every weekend now for three weeks. It always comes back. We are trying to monitor her poops. Some are runny and some are normal. She is almost two, still laying like normal and no signs of any distress.
She has had this condition with wing feathers for a while- we have no rooster and she is not bullied- she is boss hen’s wingman- we have monitored for months now. Vet thinks she may home some type of deficiency that is causing it. This afternoon we notice some bleeding. How can we treat this and...
Is this because of the heat or is this Cocci? This is from our six week old chicks. No one seems to be acting off but this looks very different than the other droppings.
Our one year old girl missed two days of egg laying and she is typically a daily egg layer. She was acting off in the afternoon (standing around the flock but not eating or foraging with them- occasionally closing her eyes) but after a few hours pushed out a normal egg. This morning she laid...
No openings at all in the hardware cloth. May look like that from something you saw in the picture but not at all. It’s sunk a foot underground all around the perimeter as well.
We got her as tiny chick- 3 days old. We think she is a Cream Legbar. She did have full normal feathers by 5-6 months. I can definitely grab a picture tomorrow- she is in bed already tonight. Thank you!
I don't see any signs of feather mites. Her skin is all pink and clear. We also never see anyone pick on her at all. She is sort of the wing man of our boss hen- a second in command if you will. I can't imagine them doing this to her.

We do not have any Roosters and no one seems to pick on her- she is second in command to the boss hen. It’s been about a month now and she has no feathers on the ends of her wings. She is only ten months old and not showing any other signs of distress or odd behavior.
So we have some thinning feathers on her wings and heard a few sneezes. Her comb has a spot we have never seen before. Is this a concern? She is only nine months old and is laying eggs and acting normal.
We have five in our flock right now with some Wyandotte, Ameraucana, a Rhode Island Red, and a Legbar. We are thinking of ordering some different breeds from Meyer Hatchery. Anyone have experience with Meyer? And my daughter wants a Golden Laced Polish- Can they be integrated easily into our...
So we have two Wyandottes and an Amerucauna that are 20 weeks old and not laying yet. What is the best feed for them? Agway told us not to let them have the layer feed that our two big girls are eating as they are laying eggs. Do we still give them Chick feed?
