Is this a molt if it’s only on the ends of wings?

Maybe she routinely hangs out against the hardware cloth. She could be rubbing the feathers bare on something she lounges near.

Looks like there are openings in your hardware cloth. I wonder if she got hurt from an attack or if she hurt herself on something sharp.

Her other feathers look 'fluffy', rather than 'hard'.
Wonder if she is a mix of silky or lemon or lavender,
they can all have funky/weak feathering.

No openings at all in the hardware cloth. May look like that from something you saw in the picture but not at all. It’s sunk a foot underground all around the perimeter as well.

That’s odd because it isn’t like that at all- completely in tact- it may be water droplets on the camera as it was snowing

I'll bet that's it, it was rather blurry there, obliterating the mesh.
