Molting or amorous rooster?

Hi! This is my second fall with chickens, so it will be out first molt for my oldest hens (currently 17 months old). Some of the hens are showing bald patches in their backs, and I don't know if this is the start of their Molt, or if I need to pick up some chicken saddles. Or roster currently has 7 hens if meeting age, and 2 pullets that he's not bothering quite yet, but should start laying in the next month or so. It does seem to be the hens lower on the totem pole, so I'm guessing it's the rooster to blame? Pictures attached--she's bald under the scraggly patch. Thank you in advance for your input!

That looks like wear and tear to me. It doesn't look bad enough for a saddle, as those can cause problems too if not properly maintained.
