I think we are going to put them into our shed (6x5ft) where some rabbits are currently. Put the 4x4 coop on legs and move those rabbits under the chicken coop to keep everyone separate. My poor rabbits will be so sad to leave the chickens for their own territory (2 rabbits share a 16x5 coop now...
Thanks for the reply! Yes I've read that online. But I was more wondering since I will have chickens and ducks mixed does this change the ratio (since ducks are ground birds and the chickens would perch, therefore making more space available)?

Dang so soon... I heard Lohmanns are good layers through fall/winter. Maybe this is just a hiccup and she'll lay 2-3x a week there after instead of 6-7x. Grocery store eggs it is I guess🙄. I'm glad 2 weeks isn't considered crazy long though in that case. Once it passed 1.5 weeks I got worried 🤪

I have a Lohmann brown hen that is about 8-9 months old now. She's been laying everyday for the last 2.5-3 months and has only skipped 2 days before once or twice (2 days with coming home and being on a new diet and then one day after I cleaned the coop). She's gotten 2 new roommates...
My hen will NOT stop squawking since yesterday morning (when her partner passed). It is ridiculous good thing I've been off work these past 2 days. She just wont quit until I cuddle her... then 5 mins after I get inside it starts again! Started at 7am today... grrrrr. And for some weird reason...
