Free!! Will that work? Both hens are in good codition, I get about 8 or 9 eggs a week out of them. I have some health issues and dont feel like dealing with them right now. I plan on getting more next spring.
I have 2 hens I would like to get rid of, 1 Rhode Island and 1 Plymouth rock, both were perchased from Idea on feb 14 2008. Please call Steve at 843-318-1984.
I checked the chickens again tonight, when I got home from work. They were on there roost finally not up in the trees, which is why I clipped them to begin with. I didnt bother them to much, I just looked around the area were they were perched, for blood and didnt see any. Am I in the clear...
I checked on the two chickens, they dont appear to be bleeding anymore. There was only a small amount of blood loss. Should I still pluck the feathers that were bleeding? If I dont have to pluck, will they get infected or anything like that?
I clipped the wings on my 18 month old pullets today. Two of the birds have some blood comming from a couple of feathers, that are close to the of the wing. What should I do?
I dont belive they use arsenic anymore. I am building mine now, and when I went back to Home Depot the other day, none of the pressure treated wood was green. They told me that that is the way it looks now. I had to walk around and look at all the tags, to see which ones said P/T.
I tried sand for grit when mine were 3 weeks, and thay ate it like they were starving. That much cant be good for them, or is it, do they know when to stop?
We have a petrified chicken Mcnuget, that we found behind are daughters dresser when we were moving in 2001. It is still on display, and looks just like it did the day it came out of the fryer. The ants wont even eat it!!
You gota do, what you gota do, but the feed store lady was wrong! All I know is what I research, and 14 weeks is to early for layer rations. The extra calcium can cause problems with bone growth.
If the organization gets rid of all the factory farms, who do you think will be next? I hope you all have good lawyers, better ones than the factory farms did. Who wants organization in their backyard, with a camera? They wont stop!
