So my beautiful lavender mama Louise hatched her first clutch over the last two days! 6 babies! You can only see three in the photo. I'm wondering if I should keep her and the babies in with my regular flock or if I should separate them?

So true. I've had to start trimming their butts because they get hella poopy lol so trimming their floof around their vent seems to help with that lol

She's definitely a hen. Lavender cochin I believe. Her sister has been laying pretty steadily since Christmas. I'm wondering if she has some neurological deficits that could be impacting her laying ability. She's real sweet, her sister is a bit of a bully however.

So I've been slowly introducing my 8 week old easter eggers to my flock. Well today, one of my lavender hens got super mean and scalped one of my easter eggers! Its an area the size of a nickel and there's no more feathers or skin... I can see her scalp. She's chirping and eating and drinking...

I have a Lavender Chicken that's about 6-8 months old. Her sister (same age) has been laying consistently for a month now and she still has yet to lay her first egg. I have no idea whats going on with her. Any ideas?
