Our muscovy has sat on eggs for several weeks in our fireplace. We noticed yesterday that one had hatched, but no others have. How long do we allow her to sit? Or should I help the duckling out of the fireplace, let the mama take it to the pond, and put the rest in the incubator?
I don't think...
Our bantam hatched 3 chicks. All seemed to be doing fine. I noticed yesterday that one of the chicks has started walking in circles and has its neck twisted up. I caught it today and there is a large mass on the side of its neck which prevents it from turning or raising its head.

One of our muscovy ducks has what looks like a rash on her neck. We had a huge possum on the porch a little over a week ago when she was nesting and thought he may have bitten her, but it hasnt healed up and now it looks more like raised bumps. Any ideas or suggestions?
Oh, I don't know if you...
Are they all mean? Can they be trained to not be mean? This one has started chasing & being mean to our ducks. He's tried to intimidate our dogs & cats. I've been wondering if his displays around my nephews have also been aggressive. I like having him around but don't want the aggression.
Our Pipi is about 6-7 months old. She is the only turkey in our flock of chickens, bantams, & ducks. We've thought she was a female but lately she has been exhibiting male behaviors...strutting, weird noises, dancing. She does not have a beard or spurs or nubs. We've been trying to get a couple...
They have finally gone home. My mother-in-law said the one was fluffed up and proud and the other looked defeated but neither looked too worse for wear.
Since they're free range do you have any suggestions on separating them?
Oh, that is terrible! Of the 3 babies I think 2 more are toms.
Unfortunately, I think I'm about to have the same issue with my Bantams. Of the 7, 4 are males and I can't find anyone to trade ir give them to.
Yes, but the main problem right now is they are fighting until they are bloody and up until yesterday seemed to be the best of friends. They aren't hurting the babies.
My in-laws' Toms have made their way to our yard where we have 3 6-week old turkeys. The two Toms normally get along fine but today are fighting terribly. Do you know of anything we can do? They are free range on our acreage and the babies are inside a fenced pen, but the Toms can fly in.
Thank...
She has some yellow spots around the "ankle" area but I didn't see anything wrong with her toes. Today she seems to be walking a little better. Now I've noticed one of my ducks with a limp. 🤦🏽♀️
