Today I noticed my 2-year-old Silkie slightly opening her mouth to breathe so I took a look at her and found her nostril is blocked. Not sure if it’s a tumor or infection? She’s behaving, eating , pooping normally. She doesn’t seem to be having any trouble breathing (no wheezing, raspiness...
Thank you! I’m SO
upset at that vet! These hens are my son’s pets so it will be awful if we lose one, much less all of them! And I have chicks in the brooder so I’m sure they’re going to get it, too, when I add them to the flock.

Update: I don’t know if this is related but I just saw a small worm on another chicken’s beak. One of the other chickens ate it. All of the chickens are pooping normally. I saw the lethargic one eat earlier today but haven’t seen her drink. She was fine yesterday. Please help!
New chicken mama here! My nine-week-old Silkie is acting lethargic and keeping her left eye shut. She does open it sometimes and the eye itself looks fine. What should I do?
Thank you all for the warm welcome! These are my fluffy babies. Three splash silkies and a blue. I can’t keep roosters so fingers crossed we have at least a couple girls!
Hi, I have four one-month-old Silkies. My son wanted Silkies as pets and he finally twisted my arm so I gave in. Now I'm in love with my sweet baby chicks!
