I live near the hills in North San Jose CA. As I walk around the neighborhood, I saw road-killed chicken. Last week, I was gardening as he jumped into my yard. I chased him and he went up my apple tree. He sat up there and so I caught him.
I caught this wild chicken a week ago. From my research, I am guessing this is a Malay, rooster, 12-13 weeks old.
It doesn't cockadoodle doo.
Thanks for your input.
I am Ga Song in the bay area of California. I recently caught a wild chicken. I have no idea what kind it is. Since I am keeping it, I bought a hen so it wouldn't be bored. I hope to learn more about keeping chickens.
