Lethargic hen with watery eyes and nose

Lethargic hen with watery eyes, nasal discharge and strange behavior. She stands on her feeder trying to eat out of the very top instead of the base. She also keeps her beak tucked into her feathers. She is about 8 years old. Thank you.

I have 5 healthy chickens thriving in the same coop (2Roos and 3Hens). 7/1/2011 I picked up a young hen at a local breeder. Thanks to this wonderful web site I knew to quarantine her. I noticed she had a runny stinky nose so I treated her with 2 different antibiotics. Duramycin for 1 week...

    Breed opinions please?

I have had a barred rock, Speckled Sussex, red star, leg horn, and americauna. My speckled Sussex is the easiest to handle and most talkative. I pick her up all of the time. My red star is the best layer with a very assertive personality. My leg horn is only 2 months old but she has been a...

Just curious? Who names all their chickens and who doesn't?

I also named the sand hill crane (Hans Solo) that flies in to visit me about 4 days a week. He sqwaks at my front door for his treats of bread crumbs.
