yes i will be turning 4 times a day and it IS a still air incubator, the bulb is incandescent i think( i found it on a desk lamp that always seems to heat up)

Hey so i just made this mini incubator to hopefully be able to hatch a couple baby quail and would like to know if i seem to be missing anything. if its good/ok i'll explain the prosess.

depends where you are getting the birds from if they are from the hatchery and are only a few days old skip quarantine just make sure that the elder chickens can't get to them if they are older consider putting them in a large animal feeding trough with chicken wire on top for 1-2 weeks to make...

I would say it is a male because of the wattles BUT the comb looks like a female's.

option 3: use an unused sponge with two slits for the legs to go inside this is a very good method just make sure the chicken has food and water nearby science it restricts movement.

option two: use a piece of straw on both legs too make them straight this can be confined with the first method to make them closer together too if necessary.
