I will brood it myself if needed. She doesn't seem hostile toward it, so I think it had just fallen out and wasn't able to get back in. I put a bandaid on it and if that doesn't work I will try some yarn.
My husband has a really good relationship with our goose. She will let him check eggs and move babies around. If the children get close though, she will hiss at them.
Our Toulouse goose just hatched 9 goslings. I went out to check on them, and one was out of the nest. It has splayed legs so I didn't know if it could just not climb back in or if the mother kicked it out. Do geese push babies out the nest? Is there anything I can do to help it grow better?
We have a two year old female Toulouse goose. Last year she laid nine eggs and then went broody and hatched out three. This year we are currently at eight or nine eggs laid. If I take a few away and put them in the incubator, will that encourage her to lay more?
For filling doughnuts I use a canning ring for the cutter. You can buy a cupcake filling tip that works well. One of my favorite filling is bavarian cream, an easy recipe I have found calls for cream cheese, cool whip, and instant pudding.
We plan to butcher several males, just want to make sure which ones. I'm not sure if they are purebred or not, they were giving to us and the people had a large barnyard flock and I don't know if they kept breeds separate. This is just part of the waterfowl flock, we also have 6 Toulouse geese...
Please help, we were recently given 11 ducks of various breeds, and are trying to figure out what breeds and ducks/drakes we have.
Can Black Swedish have black spots on their chest? Does green head automatically mean male? Are the two light ones Silver Appleyard?
