Good point. We have a little under 4 acres for them to free range on and during drought it’s slim pickings. At this point I’m going to wait and see how many more roosters are going to surprise me. I’ve already read homed 3 this year

Oh no not eating them, just asking if these can be bred to eat. My guess was the black and white big rooster was a Dom or barred I don’t know. My plan was to only eat the boys and keep the girls for eggs

Well that is a bummer. I was really hoping to get 1 female of the two. And they were sold as pullets!

Those two birds are the ones I was thinking of using for breeding. She’s the only laying hen at the moment and every egg I’ve used has been fertilized. Just waiting to get a full dozen at least before incubating.

Here’s another photo of the two Sussex the smaller one is crawling around weird today like low to the ground. I though they were both female 🤷🏻‍♀️
