Hi there!
I live in St. Helens and need to re-home a rooster and was wondering if anyone knows of a local farm (or an individual) that could use a friendly, 3-month-old whiting true green rooster?
Thank you kindly,
Sarah
Hello! I'm in St. Helens and looking to rehome a beautiful, 3-month old, friendly Whiting True Green Rooster. Do you know of an place in the county that would take him?
My colorful gal has started to poop green and is standing in a somewhat upright position (like she's getting ready to lay). She's eating fine, wandering with the rest of the flock, drinking, and laying (although she didn't lay today). What could be wrong with her? There are no vets in my area...
She isn’t acting normal. She was until the day I found that gelatinous blob. From that point forward she’s been lethargic and not eating but drinking a lot.
I am not sure but it’s the only thing that makes sense to me given her symptoms. This all started when I found what looked like an internal organ in the henhouse. It was a gelatinous mass about half the size of a golf ball. It was grayish with red blood. Then I went to account for all the...
Where I live, there is no access to veterinarians that can care for chickens. Are there any home remedies for dealing with egg yolk peritonitis (EYP) or do we have to cull her?
Help! I went outside to the henhouse to collect eggs and found this. At first, I thought it was a poop, but it almost looks like an internal organ. When I went to check on all of the chickens, everyone looked fine, except for one who was hiding in the bushes. Nothing seems physically wrong with...
Hi there! We are looking at expanding our run up next to a brand new fence that was built between our neighbors property and ours. The concern here is that if the chickens have access to dig right along that fence line, then they’re gonna damage the bottom half of the wooden fence. Does anyone...
Also, cooked oatmeal can kill chickens. Their bodies aren’t able to properly break it down but I see folks post all the time that they feed their chickens cooked oatmeal.
Hi there!
I’m new(ish) to chickens. Have only had my flock for a year (in December!!). Anyway, I think they’re molting but one is dropping all their feathers and the others are dropping a few at a time. Does this look like normal molting? She’s a midnight majesty.
Thank you!
